Background
Started racing in 2011 after giving up as aerobatic pilot. Aerobatic aircraft have II or III as part of their registration, hence racing as 111
Had a bad crash at Oulton Park with Tom Roche where I rolled car and crushed hand, missed half of the 2011 season – another reason for racing as 111, number is the same upside-down!
Best 2011 finish was 14th.
Recognised that slowest part of the car was driver and took lots of tuition and testing over 2011/2012 winter from Ben Short who is the other XO sponsored driver.
Straight out in 2012 season with 2 podiums at first meeting (2 x 3rds)
Another 2 podiums later in the year including a 3rd at Zandvoort in the Dutch Max5 Championship
Achievements and Goals
2012 – 4 x podiums (3rd place)
Tough grid in 2012 with the new league system. Target is now consistency and to be consistently in the top 10.
